Step 1: First, you’ll need to prepare the coals for your hibachi grill. Remove the lid and empty most of the ashes into an ashtray. Next, place a piece of aluminum foil on top of your grill and place some fresh charcoal directly on top of it.
Step 2: Use tongs to arrange them evenly over the surface of the hibachi grill until they are completely covered in ashes and glowing red-hot (about 10 minutes). Lightly brush them off with a wire mesh brush, then remove any excess ash by pouring hot water over them using a large spoon or spatula until all remaining loose debris has been removed from between each coal. Allow them time to cool before removing them from their container, as this will help prevent burns while handling them later on when cleaning up post-cooking session!
Step 3: Once cooled down enough so that they don’t burn fingers any more than necessary during the removal process, we’ll take off our gloves/mittens before proceeding further because now’s not happening anytime soon either way due to now being safe enough again, at least within reason.
